"9 do not choose" for wooden floors, after reading this lightning protection strategy, you will no longer have to worry about choosing a floor

Before talking about the floor, we must first make it clear: environmental protection, durability, and reasonable price, these three core points of floor selection, like the economic troika (investment, consumption, export), will always be one thing relation.
  • Solid wood floors: environmentally friendly, but generally not durable, you have to spend a lot of money if you want to be durable.
  • Laminate floors: Durable, affordable, and can be at a disadvantage when it comes to formaldehyde.
  • Parquet: It is an existence between the two, and its durability is stronger than that of solid wood; its environmental protection is better than that of laminate flooring, but unfortunately, it is shorter than others. To be truly environmentally friendly and durable, it is even more expensive than solid wood floors.
Remember: the floor, that's it, we can never do all three... What we have to do is to decide what suits us according to our needs? It doesn't make sense for me to go on and on about which is better. What's more meaningful is that among the three types of floors, there are some that "can't be chosen for sure". Let's talk about them in detail in this issue!

1, do not choose multi-layer solid wood composite floor

solid wood composite floor is divided into: three-layer solid wood composite floor and multi-layer solid wood Laminate floor. It is very simple to understand: three layers are three layers of wooden boards glued together; multi-layer is many layers of wooden boards glued together, there are 5 layers (the so-called new three layers), and there are 9 layers. The number of layers is more, which means that more glue is used, and the environmental protection is greatly reduced! How big is the specific discount? Because the three-layer solid wood floor needs to be durable, there is still a threshold for the craftsmanship, so some big manufacturers do it themselves, and the environmental protection can be guaranteed to a certain extent; while the multi-layer solid wood floor itself is relatively durable, and there is no The threshold of craftsmanship, so most of them are made by small factories, and even many big brands are outsourced to small factories! That small factory doesn’t pay attention to the craftsmanship. The glue must be cheap. It is expected that the pollutants such as formaldehyde exceed the standard. The base material may also use miscellaneous wood and recycled wood. As a result, multi-layer solid wood floors are generally poor in environmental protection on the market, even worse than some laminate floors. But because of the blessing of the word "solid wood", it is more valuable than laminate flooring. It is equivalent to: we spend money, but do not buy the environmental protection we pursue! Then what do we need for such a floor???

2. Three-layer solid wood floor without surface splicing

The surface spliced floor, the surface layer is made of many small boards, the wood texture is not completed, the paving effect will be worse, and it may also be affected by the expansion and contraction of the inner layer under the heating condition of the floor heating, resulting in the problem of drawing seams! It is also recommended that the surface layer of the whole board is literally, the surface layer is composed of a piece of wood, the grain of the wood is complete, the paving effect will be better, and there will be no problem of pulling seams.

3. Do not choose a three-layer solid wood floor with a thin surface

The surface thickness of 3mm is the most basic requirement, because it is lower than The veneer of 3mm is processed by rotary cutting and planing (like peeling sugar cane), while the veneer larger than 3mm is sawing. Therefore, the veneer below 3mm often has the risk of cracking, blistering, and tearing a large piece because the skin is too thin. The so-called new three-layer is that the skin is too thin by 1.2mm, so this kind of problem is reported in a large area! More than 3mm, the thicker the better, the thicker, the later use of the floor will be much more stable, and the effect will be more calm, not very flowery feeling, all kinds of crafts can be realized on it, such as antique, wire drawing , Sag, etc. Of course, the thicker the skin, the more expensive it is!

4. Do not choose the floor with flat buckle connection

Whether it is laminate floor, solid wood floor, solid wood composite floor, it is all flat There are two splicing methods: buckle and lock. The flat buckle is two pieces of floorboards. When they are placed together, there is no connection between the floors. The phenomenon of "gap" and "lifting" is prone to occur in the later stage. Pulling out the seam will further bring about the problem of storing dirt. The locks can connect each floor, and the expansion and contraction can be connected, and the problem of flat buckles is not easy to occur in the later period of use.

5. Do not choose a large-sized floor

a single floor, the larger the size, the more atmospheric and beautiful, just like the tiles . But just like ceramic tiles, the larger the size, the more expensive the price. It is not worth it to improve the effect. Because of the smaller floor, if you put more effort into the color and even the laying method, you can make up for it. The deficiencies brought by the size are the same as the tiles. If the color is used well, it can also create a "sense of sophistication". Moreover, in addition to laminate floors, three-layer solid wood, and solid wood floors, the larger the size of the veneer, the worse the stability. Of course, many brands will consider this factor when making large-scale floors, so the process and materials will be improved, and this improvement is the cost. In the end, we can only pay for it ourselves, so a good slab floor is very expensive!

6. Do not choose hardwood floors of rare and precious tree species

There are 19 common tree species for flooring: maple, black walnut Wood, rosewood, ash, birch, pine, pine, oak, oak, (heavy) ant, elm, basswood, merbau, gamba, diced bean, balsam dal, Panlongan, disc beans, teak, etc. These tree species, the more you use, the more feedback, so the related performance is actually easy to understand. And the rare and precious tree species often have some pits hidden in them, such as the smell is too unpleasant, such as too hygroscopic or not hygroscopic... etc. We want to understand, it is difficult. Moreover, the solid wood floor itself is easily damaged, and the later repair is also a problem.

7, care about defects, do not choose solid wood composite or solid wood flooring

Whether it is solid wood floor or solid wood composite floor, it takes a long time , there will be various problems. Problems such as blistering, cracking, crevices, wear, arching, etc., will follow. Therefore, if you care about these small defects, then go straight to the laminate floor, which may barely meet the requirements! What's more, if you like wooden floors, just accept its imperfections! Nothing can be used forever, including the floor, the average period of decoration is only about 10 years. Generally speaking, these wooden floors can be done, and they are not bad in this period!

8. If you care about environmental protection, do not choose floor heating.

Whether it is laminate floor or solid wood composite floor, there is glue. Glue is polluted, even if there is no formaldehyde, there are other pollutions. In the high temperature environment of floor heating, it can not be regarded as environmentally friendly. As for solid wood floors, the ones that are known to be competent at present are: teak floors, and some solid wood floors with special locking technology. They are all too expensive, and they can easily cost 1000+ or 2000+ square meters. In fact, the matter of environmental protection is the anxiety of being over-sold by merchants. You can see the latest national standard and E1 level, but merchants all promote their own E0, saying that their homes are more environmentally friendly and will not cause leukemia. In fact, there is a mistake in this talk itself. Leukemia is not caused by formaldehyde, but caused by VOC gases such as benzene. The person who drafted the national standard is more professional than us, and it is impossible to write something that will cause serious harm to everyone as compliant! Plus, we all have ventilation in our home, so how big is the problem!

9. I care about durability, environmental protection, and price. Don't choose the floor.

Go out and choose tiles directly next door. All of them are coexistence of warmth, comfort and shortcomings, and it is impossible to do all three.
